Our Most Precious Resource on Earth.

Our Most Precious Resource on Earth.

With the ever growing Earth population and expansion of urbanization centers it is vital that we find new clean ways of using the Earth most precious resource. This precious resource is usable water. Although the earth has a surface water coverage of 70 percent and fresh water is 2.5 percent of that volume, the usable water on Earth is less than 1 percent. If all the water on earth was down scaled to fit in a 1 gallon container only 1 table spoon out the gallon is usable water.

We are fortunate in North America as 90 percent of all Americans receive their drinking water from a public water supply compared to 700 million people in 43 countries that suffer from water scarcity. By 2025 1.8 billion people will be living in regions of countries with absolute usable water scarcity, and two-thirds of the worlds population could be living with water stressed conditions.

Approximately 70 percent of the human body is water. Health researchers have suggested that we drink 8-eight oz  glasses of water (2 liters or half gallon) as we lose over 64 ounces of water every day due to perspiration vapor exchange of our skin. Insufficient water consumption can put us at risk for various types of cancer. Therefore hydration is critical for our blood circulation to allow our immune system cells to reach damage tissues in sufficient numbers. Our sense of thirst ensure that we maintain a balance of hydration and nutrients, such as sodium, that crucial for healthy functioning cells of our body.

Legally safe water:

Legally safe and totally safe drinkable water mean 2 different things to the EPA. The clean water act regulates 80 contaminates in drinking potable water and if your water contains less than the maximum acceptable levels of those contaminants your water is safe. Yet, the EPA is investigating over 10,000 other contaminates that are not regulated and are known to be in tap water. There are over 12,000 toxic chemicals in industrial use today and every year more than 500 new chemicals are added to the list. A shocking fact that should only be back in the days of the blue bubonic plague, is that 80 percent municipal sewage flows untreated into lake rivers and oceans. With all these facts in mind should we not be filtering our legally safe tap water in our homes to clean it from toxic chemicals and bacteria?

Is bottled water safer than tap water?

The Federal Food and Drug administration regulates bottled drinking water, The Environmental Protection Agency regulates tap water. The EPA guidelines for municipal tap water are stricter than the FDA restrictions for bottled water. Chances are when you buy bottled water it is acceptable for bottled drinking water but is not acceptable for ordinary bathroom tap water. There is a much better option to insure that the water that you and your family drinks is as safe as it possibly can be, install a water filter. Installing a water filter in your home or business is far less expensive and far less environmentally damaging than bottled water. And with choosing the right water filter system you cam get maximum elimination of contaminates of concern.
